Cheap Parking in Wailea, Maui

Hello All,
I searched for "parking in Wailea" and did not come up with anything recent. We will spend a week at the Marriott in Wailea at the end of February - the cost of parking there is $25/day. Is there a lower cost public parking option close to the hotel?

Thank you.

Probably not. It is worth the $25 to keep your car safe at night.

I believe you are charged the parking fee anyway, so you might as well park there.

Thank you. The resort fee is not mandatory for us; hence the question. The parking fee is greater than the daily rental rate!

Welcome to Hawaii! Condos and private home rentals do not generally have parking fees.

We had a perfect night in at the Marriott last year. After a long day, we had a bottle of wine, did laundry while watching a movie and sharing takeout at Mala. The farmers salad and the sweetsspicy wings were the perfect.

Just bite the bullet with parking, and then put it out of your mind.

There really are no other parking alternatives. Wailea is a large, private resort with no street parking allowed.

Don't know why the resort fee is not mandatory for you. It shows up on this list as $25/day.

Even if you don't have to pay a resort fee, the parking rate will probably be just as much without the other benefits that come with the resort fee.

Resort fees are almost always mandatory.

It is unanimous then - park at the hotel; it is safe and worry free.

Resort fee of $30 per day is not mandatory for us (I talked to the hotel) because we are using points for our stay.

Thank you All. I have always followed advice on this forum with stellar results.

You might want to pay the resort fee rather than the parking fee.

On my link above, it gives a summary of what you would get with the resort fee.
