cheap hotels for Chicago
 

I wanted some help in finding a cheap hotel in Chicago for 2 people for April.Anything around the $100 a night range in downtown would be nice,thx.

Use Priceline.

The BiddingForTravel.com list of Priceline hotel bids doesn't quite make it back to last April, but in May 2006 people were getting 4* hotels (like the Hyatt Regency and the Swissotel) in the Millennium Park/Loop and North Michigan Avenue areas for about $75/night (plus taxes and the Priceline fee).

Past Priceline prices (especially from a year ago) are no guarantee that you'll get the same type of price this year, but it's worth a shot. You can get quite a few bids for a 4* hotel (see the BiddingForTravel hotel bidding FAQ for information of "free rebids"), so I bet you could get a nice hotel for less than $100/night.

Try Priceline or Hotwire, unless there is a convention in town, you should easily be able to get a hotel for under $100. Use biddingfor travel or www.betterbidding.com for help on how to bid and how much.

Watch travelzoo.com. I was able to book the Courtyard on Ontario for $79. It was very nice and the location was great!!
