Cheap hotel Coral Springs Florida ??, things to do as well ??

Hi,
Just looking for a cheap 3 or 4 star hotel in Coral Springs, Florida. I just need something that is clean and reasonably cheap.

As a side question, is there much to do for a tourist around that area ???

Cheers
Jeff

Will you have a car? What time of year? Per night amount, "cheap" doesn't help.

Does it have to be in Coral Springs? Are you willing to stay in Fort Lauderdale where there is more to see and do?

Usually 'cheap' and '4 star' do not go together. Check TripAdvisor and read the reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g3...da-Hotels.html

Hi All,
Sorry, will be a bit more specific, going early December and looking at around $100 a night. I need to really stay in Coral Springs.

Cheers

Jeff, there is a La Quinta on University that is actually in Tamarac, but not too far away. It should fit your price range. Can't speak of quality, but my brother stayed there. My mom lives not too far away. Not much happening in that area. Mostly seniors living in condos associated with large senior homeowner associations.

When we visit, we stay in her condo, and we always have a car. It is 15-20 min to Sawgrass Mills discount shopping, 30 min to beaches, 45-60 min to Miami.

Can recommend a few diner style, delicatesen, or Italian restaurants. Lots and lots of chains, hard to find unique owner operated places. Good Luck!

Thanks everybody for your feedback.

Much appreciated

Hotels.com has the marriott Coral Springs at $89

I have stayed at La Quinta in Coral Springs. It was pretty basic, inexpensive and had a free breakfast, cold cereal, muffins and coffee or tea, nothing great but it was fine if you are looking for a basic place to stay. Discounts are offered for AAA members

There is a Marriott, in the area. a larger and more expensive hotel, convention center.

In addition to retirement communities Coral Springs has its share of gated and non-gated developments occupied by people of all ages, who work in the environs.

There are no real attractions in Coral Springs. A few shopping centers, movies, neighborhood places to eat.

Fort Lauderdale is not far, assuming you will have a car.
