Cheap Eats in Vegas
 

We don't eat buffets and will be traveling with a person who doesn't like to spend a lot of money on a meal. Maybe $10-15 for lunch and $25-$30 for dinner. Any suggestions on where to eat on the strip that won't break the bank? Prefer not to eat at chains. Restaurants that serve Italian, mexican, and steak would be great. We are staying at Paris. Can we go to any of the famous chef's restaurants on this budget? Thanks for your help!!!!

The days of the cheap eats in Vegas are nearly gone (especially mid-strip). However, Caesar's has a food court area and other restaurants which should fit in your budget. FYI- for breakfast,etc there's a Denny's within walking distance

We liked the Mesa Grill owned by Bobby Flay. Our bill for lunch was about $90 for 3 persons. Would depend upon what you order.

The Cheesecake Factory is always good. But it is a chain.

There is a good hamburger place kitty corner from Wynns. They have great hamburgers.

The Bellagio Buffet is great - you said you didn't like buffets but this one is so good. I hear the buffet at the Wynn is wonderful too.

I went to the Wynn buffet Thursday night for $34.95 and the food is good. Considering that you can easily spend more at just mid-priced restaurants at most of the casinos, that's a pretty good deal to me.

Does the Bellagio Buffet have stations where it is served to you or is it a free for all that everyone has had the opportunity to to the food that you may be eating? Anyone know the name of the burger place across from the Wynn?

The burger place across from the Wynn is called Stripburger (702) 737-8747 . It's in the Fashion Show Mall.

It's a chain, but if you like Italian, try Maggiano's Little Italy. It's also in the Fasion Show Mall. The serve enormous portions family style.

Also try New York New York. I was able to survive there on my work per diem. Chin Chin has great Chinese food - again, you can share the entrees.

If you have a rental car and want a great lunch or breakfast away from the strip, head to the Cracked Egg
They have 4 locations. I have only been to the one on S. Rainbow.

Mon Ami Gabi in Paris, is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. Save from the budget to enjoy a meal watching the fountains at the Bellagio.

The buffet at Wynn is probably my favorite. A little pricey, but everything is wonderful.

I like the Mexican restaurant at the Venetian as well. I think it's called Canyonita Tacqueria or something like that.

Enjoy. If you're getting show tickets, check to see what restaurants are in the hotel.

Try Battista's Hole in the Wall (right behind Bill's/Barbary Coast) for cheap Italian.

RUBIO'S for cheap Mexican, and AWESOME FISH TACOS, but you'll need a car as they don't have any Strip locations.

Toby Keith's in Harrah's will have food in this price range.

If you sign up for the ``frequent player club'' in a casino, you can get discounts on meals and such. We got had half-price coupons for the buffet at Harrahs (just for signing up), and were able to apply our comps points towards lunch in the Westin Casaurina.

We didn't really gamble much, just around $40 a day, but we did pick our casinos with the discounts/promos in mind.
