Chautauqua Lake Questions

Hi,
We are going to Chautauqua Lake next weekend and I have not had any time to research it at all. We are staying at the Maple Side B&B right on the lake and are in need of restaurant suggestions (1 dinner and maybe 1 lunch) and things to do in the area. We would like to walk somewhere, visit some wineries and find some shops.

Thanks!!

Oops, Maple Springs, not Maple Side.

I've never been to that area of our beautiful state, but I've always wanted to...what I love to do is just drive and explore, not set plans, usually, that makes for the best trips! I did notice however on the Chautauqua website, that it's not far from the Desi-Lu museum...I'd go to that in a heartbeat!

It's been awhile...but I was thinking about Chautauqua. How did you like the Maple Springs hotel? Seems to be a bit like the Lenhart in Bemus Point. You probably saw that hotel when you were there.

Anyone going to the Chautauqua area this summer? I am! Can't wait. It's an overlooked gem of an area.

It was okay. I wrote a review on trip advisor. The room was kind of outdated and it had no locks which kind of bothered me. Breakfast was good, and the owners were soooo nice though. Very nice setting too. We were comparing it to Niagara on the Lake (near that area), which we like a lot more and found great B&B's there. So we wouldn't go back.
