Charlotte to Charleston

Flying from London to Charlotte, after one night's "jet lag " stop, want to drive to Savannah/Charleston area for one week. Mid October what would you expect to pay for small condo (2 oldies!). Also how long will it take to drive from Charlotte to Charleston?

Take I77 from Charlotte to Columbia and then I26 from Columbia to Charleston. Under three hours. Condo prices could be anything. Charleston proper, doesn't really have resort condos. You would need to go to Wild Dunes, Kiawah, Folly or Edisto for that and it would depend if you were on the golf course, on the beach, etc.

I go to Charleston from Charlotte at least 2 -3 times a year. It's 3 - 4 hours by car if you want to stay 5 - 10 miles over speed limit.

Yes, I meant to say it should take you under 4 hours instead of under 3.

Times are right as corrected. You might google for some of the places Rhett mentioned to look for real estate people. October is still a very prime month. You might want to consider a room at a hotel in Mt.Pleasant just across the bridge from Charleston but you could still get into town. I am assuming you want to visit the historic district and not just stay at a beach. The Holiday Inn in Mt. Pleasant is very nice and not as expensive as staying in the historic district.
