Charleston with High Schoolers

Hello. I'm taking a group of High School guys to Charleston for a tournament on Saturday. We will have all day Friday and I would appreciate any suggestions on things to do and places to eat. I thought we might tour the Yorktown. Thanks!

I think the Yorktown would be a good idea for that age group...aquarium might be too young? Food-wise - I would think quantity as much as quality would be key....Hyman's downtown for seafood would probably be quick and easy. There's another seafood place right downtownthat is very casual and serves good food and larger portions that our teens like...let me try and remember and get back to you.

Are we talking about Aw Shucks seafood?

I agree with the quantity over quality. I'm thinking probably fried seefood - is there someplace that is one of those places on the water with boats and birds and hushpuppies, if you know what I mean? Just looking for something memorable that the kids might like. Thanks for your help.

We ate recently at the Noisey Oyster right in Chaleston on a corner. Casual, reasonale, and very good. I loved there sweet tea. I just couldn't get enough of the tea. There is another '"wings" place mostly that was popular with the kids, and families. It had the name wings in name.

If you want waterfront dining, I think the closest would be Shem Creek which is back over the Cooper River Bridge.

T-Bonz on Market Street or Sticky Fingers BBQ would also be good for the kids.

Say what you must about Hyman's but I love their Crispy Fish. Hymans isn't waterfront, it is downtown.

Where are you staying?
