Charleston quick trip report
On our way home from Delaware, we spent one nite in Charleston . . Waht a great place! We stayed in the Historic District at The Indigo Inn, Jasmin House annex. Really nice room with a great courtyard in the common area.
Had dinner at the Amen Street Raw Bar. Fabulous meal and wine. Then took Pedicab (rickshaw) cab ride around town to battery and historic district. Had him take us to Fresh Berries for frozen no sugar added yogurt (best ever according to the chief critic) then back to hotel. Now sitting in courtyard at hotel unlaxing. Nice end to a great vacation. It's a shame we had only one nite . . will definately be comming back! Charleston is a lot like NOLA but without the filth and decadence. The headline in the morning paper was about some joker who was arrested for walking around with a open container (beer can ) . . Imagine that even being noticed in NOLA!! I thnk this is going to be a regular visit for us!! |
Glad to hear just a small taste was enough to tell you what a great city Charleston is.

I love Charleston. Next time, visit Middleton Place and Magnolia Plantation. Eat some shrimp and grits. Breakfast at Poogan's Porch is pretty good, too.
