Charleston or Savannah in December?
 

I would like to take a long weekend trip to either city to visit historic sites/homes and maybe do a little shopping (local artists or antique looking). Because I have a limited amount of time, I only want to visit one of the cities. <BR> <BR>I am traveling by myself and looking for a safe, yet cheap, place to stay and eat. <BR> <BR>Any suggestions are welcomed. <BR> <BR>Thanks!

Emmy, you probably haven't gotten immediate responses because this question has been asked a few times quite recently. As a recap, most people recommend Charleston over Savannah, although Savannah has its proponents. <BR> <BR>Good luck!

I like Charleston better. Look on Travelocity or Expedia.com for a cheap hotel.
