Charleston in April

Heading down to Charleston at the beginning of April--what can I expect in terms of weather? Also, any recommendations for restaurants where there's good dining at the bar? I prefer some good appetizers/small dishes at the bar as opposed to sitting down for a full meal!

Wife and I went in Feb a couple years ago...light jckt felt good. We stayed at King Charles Inn and had a BBQ place on one side and a little hole in the wall resturant about a half block on the other..both were SUPER!! Look them up for good Southern food.

Hi Salty, I was in Charleston April 2005 and the weather was perfect! But of course that is no guarantee of the weather this April. I didn't eat at any bars or notice any since my friend and I always sat at a table so I can't answer that question. I am sure you will enjoy beautiful Charleston, it is a fabulous city to visit.

Meritage
Penninsula Grille
SNOB
Hanks
Magnolia Grill

Weather will be very nice; warm to hot and the Azaleas should be in bloom.

Hi again Little Salty, I was hoping GoTravel would see your question. We had the most wonderful time in Charleston thanks to the great thread she wrote. Little Salty I hope you get the opportunity to eat at SNOB. Personally we loved their food. I had a dinner there I will always remember. Have fun!
