Charleston Accommodations

Looking for a reasonably priced hotel, inn or B&B near historic Charleston on the water.

Kind of a tough question as the closest I have ever stayed to the water is on the Battery where there are several excellent B & B's. The Harborview (near the fountain) may be on the water, but most places you would be encouraged to stay, are not, that I can think of...let me look around a bit.

Take a look at Two Meeting Street...beautiful B&B pretty much on the waterfront.

King George IV B&B -- great location; walked to everything; quiet at night BUT not near the water. Check tripadvisor.com.

Going to Charleston tonite- leaving soon- I went on Priceline.com and got the Mills House for $99.00 (double occup) - recommend this chaming hotel in the historic district. The Priceline price was fantastic. Never thought I would get a 3-4 star hotel that low!

Maybe. I really don't want to be a naysayer, but it is pretty often advertised at that price during the week in our paper.
I guess the OP knows that the "water" in Charleston is the river, not the ocean.
Harboourview?
