Charleston
 

We are planning a trip to Charleston for about 6 days during May and would appreciate a recommendation for a reasonably priced 3 bedroom beach condo. We appreciate it so much.

It appears you were planning a trip for June 2006.

How did that trip work out?

I'd really like to read a report on it and possibly see photos.

Have you checked into Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms? Be aware that Spoleto is held in Charleston and there are a lot of bookings already made.

We stayed at Harbor Island in SC which is just about in the middle of Charleston and Savannah because we wanted to visit both places. We were not all that pleased with the beach there, too calm, we like to hear the splash of waves, We thought we would like Fripp Island better which is right next door to Harbor Island. We drove down but could not get in because it (like Harbor Island) is a gated community and you can not get on unless you're staying there, but from what we could see we liked it. It would be about an hour's drive to Charleston and about 15min drive to Beaufort which is a lovely community. If interested check out: http://tinyurl.com/3asrmh

Wild Dunes is an excellent suggestion. I don't know if there are any condos oceanfront on Sullivans Island but I prefer it it IOP because it has a more local feel.
