Charlesmark Hotel - Parking?

My husband and I will be in Boston for one night in June and are considering staying at the Charlesmark Hotel. Does anyone know about the parking situation? Is there a parking garage nearby?

The Prudential Center garages are nearby. Ask the Charlesmark if they can recommend a garage for you.

There are others and the hotel might have some better recommendation.

It is a walking, public transit area. Parking will be very expensive. If you can find a way to not drive in, do it.

cw-- Thank you very much for the suggestion. The hotel did recommend the Prudential Center garage, so I think that's what we'll use.

TKT-- I wish we didn't have to park, but we need the rental car to get out of town the next day. I've heard how expensive parking is though, and we're prepared to pay! Thank goodness it's only for one night!

I'd suggest the Boston Common Garage....it'll only be $10.00 if you arrive after 4:00 pm and you have until 10:00 am to leave....the Pruedntial's cheap rates end at 3:00am...

here's a link:

It's straight down Boylston...not too far of a walk.

I just got back a few weeks ago from Boston, and I stayed there for 4 nights. It's close to everything, even to the Fenway park museums! The T is right across the street, and it's close to tons of restaurants and shopping.

What's not so hot is the commodations, which reminded me of an upscale dorm--room's tiny, and the halls are very narrow with worn carpet, and there's a shower--no tub.

However, the people at the front desk are nice, and every morning there's bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruits, muffins, juice, and coffee. BTW, the "lounge" has 2 computers with internet access so you can research info about sites and restaurants. It looks like the temp files are not saved on the computer--at least I haven't found where they're stored to delete them after I've gotten onto the web. I noticed that some people do check their email there--whatever feels comfortable to you...

I would give it 4 out of 5 stars, if it weren't for the worn carpet, etc. As it is, it's a 3.5 of 5. I'll probably stay there again when I got back to Boston.
