Does anybody know of a good family friendly hotel in the historic district? I liked what I see from the Vendue Inn, but it seems to be catering towards a different demographic.
Harborview? Any of them should be fine really.
The Hampton Inn is right across the street from the Vistitor's Center so you can always get the tram there. It is a lovely property. Has breakfast, etc.
I agree with Gretchen. Harborview and Hampton are both nice. I've stayed at Hamptons all over and highly recommend the service and the BEDS!
Harbourview is great ... my fave. Have also stayed at the Hampton Inn and Charleston Place, but Harbourview can't be beat in any category, especially the location. Your little one would love swinging on the swings on the Pier right across from the hotel. And we see dolphins virtually every time we stay there! :-)

The Doubletree Suites is in the historic district and it is very nice and you would have a separate room with a sitting area so you could put your child to bed and still watch tv.
Definitely the Doubletree as it has suites. Or a townhouse room at The Andrew Pinckeny.
Ditto Doubletree. P.S. You would never know it is a chain hotel. It looks like an authentic inn.
The price for the suites is no more than that for a regular room. I booked it on recommendation of GoTravel. You need to read her thread on Charleston. I was not disappointed. |
My husband would go back just for the cookies.
