Hi-Taking a short break here next weekend-one night 2 days. Any recommendations?

If you don't have a hotel I like the Sienna. The Carolina Inn is also popular.

Crook's Corner would be my reco for a meal. I am a Demon Deacon and very underinformed about life on the Hill, so can't give you much help.

Crook's Corner is iconic for dinner. Bill Neale, the founder, practically invented New Southern food, and it continues to be inventive.

Mama Dip's is iconic for breakfast and lunch, both Old Southern style.

Allen and Son, north of town just before the interstate, set back from the road on the left is my favorite barbecue restaurant in the whole wide world.

I agree the Siena for the hotel. Make to stop by Southern Season, and The Lantern restaurant. The Siena has a great restaurant too.
