My fears may be coming to pass. There are snow storms predicted for mid next week in Yosemite. It will be a very short storm and it looks clear after that fingers crossed!

Right now there is a prediction of 10" of snow above 6,000 ft., but it could be gone by next week even if the prediction is correct.

I've been thinking of this thread ever since I heard of the snow storm!

And I told her that she had nothing to worry about! I'm officially astonished!

I was at Yosemite last weekend just before the storm hit and it was gorgeous but I took some lovely photos of snow around Mammoth Lakes. In the beginning of October!

Fortunately, it looks like she'll have great weather this weekend but I hope that she figured out the chain issue.

Wed, Oct 11 the highs in the SF Bay Area are predicted to be in the 90s. Hard to imagine snow then.

Hi all in Monterey heading for Yosemite tomorrow things are looking good for us now but I was worried for a while. I guess there are never certainties when mother nature is concerned.
I will let everyone know how it goes .

Utahtea, according to YNP's facebook page from a few days ago: "The recent storm has recharged the waterfalls, including Yosemite Falls." Which is a big change from a week ago when Bridalveil Falls was a ribbon and Yosemite Falls was just a trickle.

I have been very slack. I need to gather my thoughts and figure out how to do my Trip Report properly. Do I break it up into bits or only report on the section of the the trip pertaining to my posts??????

You can start a new thread, though, so you can tag it as a Trip Report - just call it Trip Report - Yosemite With (or Without) Chains
