Central Park

Hey Everyone!
We have a whole open for Central Park. Will we have plenty to do? I know we want to go to the zoo, but what other suggestions do you have? It looks like we have it planned for Sunday August 27. Could you give me some good place to eat in the area as well? Thanks

You have a "whole open?" Close it immediately. :-D

Row on the lake. Watch the miniature boats. Have a picnic. Take a bike tour. Take a walking tour. Check out the Conservatory Gardens. You can also combine a trip to the park with a visit to the Metropolitan Museum or the Mus. of Natural History.

"The area" is huge. The Boat House in the park is nice for lunch or you can eat on the upper east or westsides.

Check out Belvedere Castle, Bethesda fountain, and the old carousel. The park is my favorite place to visit when I go to NYC and I will always try to spend as much time there as possible, weather permitting.

Barnes & Noble has a wonderful guide to Central Park, appropriately titled "Barnes & Noble Complete Illustrated Map and Guide to Central Park." It's part of its Silver Lining Books series.
I highly recommend it.

Go fishing in Harlem meer. Nice gardens up the Harlem end too.
