CENTRAL GULF COAST OF FLORIDA

2 FAIRLY QUIET 50 SOMETHINGS LOOKING TO EXPLORE THE CENTRAL GULF COAST. WOULD PREFER NOT TO BE AROUND COLLEGE SPRING BREAKERS. WE WILL NEED TO HAVE A FEW BUCKS LEFT OVER TO COVER THE HEATING BILL FOR THE REST OF THE WINTER. JUST NEED A LITTLE R AND R FROM SHOVELING SNOW. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Yes, I'm looking myself and it appears that the best plan would be to book those accommodations now for Jan - March 2009! Good luck...

Siesta Key is a favorite on the Gulf Coast with many threads on this site. I am a fan of Indian Rocks Beach between Clearwater and St. Pete. Likewise you will find previous threads on that topic. Have fun and stay warm.

sickofsnow, we love the Indian Rocks/Indian Shores beaches near Tampa/St. Pete. Sarah's Seaside Cottages (Indian Rocks) is terrific ... check it out at gulfsideresorts.com. Everything about the place is near perfect ... not cheap, but terrific.
