Cell Phone Usage in canada

We have Cingular (Motorola)Cell Phone ... US based. We are traveling to Canada next week and would like to know what is the lowest cost method to use in Canada. If we do nothing we will pay the high cost of roaming in Canada ... they do have a $59.95 North American plan ... any other ideas???

Not sure about Cingular, but with my AT&T contract I can change plan features month to month, and add international roaming just for the months I need it.

Eileen, we are about to switch to Cingular. Are you satisfied with your plan and Cingular in general? Sorry I don't know anything about roaming charges in Canada.

Pat, In our area ... Northeast NY State ... the best coverage is Verizon ... the lowest cost is Cingular, we have two phones, family plan.

Cheapest is Sprint.
They have, for $10/month added on to the entire family plan, unlimited roaming in Canada.

Good luck!
