Cell phone coverage on Maui

Can anyone tell me which carrier is stronger on Maui? Cingular or T Mobile? I am moving to Maui soon, probably Upcountry and plan to use a Blackberry on island. I wondered which carrier I should go with. Thank you.

rodnicruz,

I don't have T-Mobile but can tell you with the exception of parts of the road to Hana, I had no reception or clarity issues during my visit to Maui in April. Cingular was fine.

Now, I was only on my phone a few times briefly to check on "personal things" back at home. And this was during my entire stay, I was not one of the people walking around Maui like I was not in paradise

we had no problems at all with Sprint wireless while on the island. Nothing like sitting poolside calling home, and making everyone stateside jealous!!

You didn't ask about Verizon but it works well in Maui - both Mom and I used it there.
