Celebration dinner in Seneca, South Carolina?

We'll be visiting Seneca, South Carolina, for a celebration weekend and would like suggestions for a great place for dinner within less than an hour driving distance. (Greenville is too far.) Any ideas???

Clemson would probably be the closest place with good dining.

Either that or somewhere on Lake Keowee.

Where in Clemson or Lake Keowee? Thanks!

Anybody live in the Lake Keowee area??

Wow. tough one. I live in Greenville, and there's not that much that's great here. I'm not aware of anything edible in Clemson. I have heard there is a good sushi place somewhere on lake Hartwell, but I can't help you with the name. There is decent dining in Cashiers and Highlands, but I think that's about the same distance as Greenville (though a prettier drive).

Try Chowhound.com, the South board. There might be something in Clayton, Ga. Good Luck. I'll keep thinking.
