Cedar Point, Sandusky OH, Need hotel help!
Two adults and three kids (ages 4,3 and 11 mos.).Looking to stay in hotel with suites close to the park. Considering the Best Western Cedar Point Area. Has anyone stayed here? Any other ideas?
Thanks. |
Haven't stayed there, but this hotel has gotten poor reviews both on local.yahoo.com (type in Best Western in Sandusky, OH to read them) and on Expedia. If you do stay there, be sure to NOT take a first-floor room facing the pool, as you will have no privacy there! Good luck.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but you could try the Sandcastle Suites on the grounds of Cedar Point. You can walk to the park from this hotel.
Another possibility (again, I don't know your budget) is Castaway Bay. I'm not sure if they have suites, but this hotel has an indoor water park that your children might enjoy. It was a Radisson and has been renovated. There is a Great Wolf Lodge with suites very near Cedar Point. Again, this hotel has a great indoor water park, which could be fun. Hope this is helpful. |
For location you can't beat Hotel Breakers. It is on the property and a two minute walk into the park. What I like the most about it is the back of the hotel has a wonderful, clean, large beach on Lake Erie, two outdoor pools and restaurants.

We stayed at he Hotel Breakers last summer. If you'll look on Cedar Point's website they usually have some package specials. With our package, we got two nights hotel, entrace into the park (early), food coupons, a free game of putt-putt, and a free go-kart ride. cd is right, you cannot beat the Hotel Breakers for location.

There's also a Breakers EXPRESS just outside park boundaries. Its a budget property but clean and fine for just sleeping. They also had a free shuttle to the park.
