Ceasars Palace
 

We're staying at the Ceasars this summer. I'm really excited because I heard great things about this hotel. Can anyone share their great (or not so great) experiences with this hotel? How do you get upgrades to Tower Palace rooms? I would appreciate any tips that will make our stay more enjoyable.

Why did you choose Caesar's?<BR>I'm not knocking it, I'm just curious why you chose it as opposed to any of the other places?<BR>What kind of rate did you get?

We've just always wanted to stay there. It also helps that my husband works at a hotel chain. We booked it for $69/night. Isn't that a bargain?

That's a good rate for Caesar's. You won't find anything better which is cheaper, but do keep in mind that rooms at Caesar's vary a lot. Some are dated and not so nice, and they try to sell those first, of course. Sounds like you already know that.<BR>Bellagio and Venetian have summer specials at $89 and $99 on some summer dates.<BR>But if you got an upgraded room at CP for for $69 you'd be doing just fine. When the hotel's not sold out, just asking nicley for an upgrade often works. Choose a desk clerk who looks nice and is in a good mood. Tell them how much you've been looking forward to the trip, or what special occasion it might be etc. Upgrades are easier to get in LV than any other city....unless the hotel's very full.

Ceasars is ok.The Forum is a big draw for tourists(much like any mall in America) and so are the restaurants there.Have lunch at Spago.Otherwise, there are other hotels that are more interesting,luxurious,better casinos.<BR>

Lots of good restaurants in the Caesar's Forum. Bertolinis, Spago, Chinois, The Stage Deli, and the casual fave-rave The Cheesecake Factory! Watch out, the portions are big and you MUST save room for cheesecake!

Jane is right, you need to be careful about Caesars rooms. They have a lot of older 250sq ft. rooms that scream Welcome to 1960. While the newer rooms are very beautiful and spacious.

The only way to guarantee a Palace Tower room is to reserve one. Barring that, you can ask for an upgrade when checking-in but I wouldn't bank on it. Are you a casino-rated player at other hotels? If so, you may want to try calling a casino host at Caesar's to see if there is anything that they can do for you.<BR><BR>I love Caeasars but it is true that room size, quality vary greatly. If you do get a Palace Tower room, you will be very happy with it (large, marble bathroom with jacuzzi and double sinks).<BR><BR>The pool area at Caesar's is great -my favorite in Las Vegas (although I haven't stayed at the Bellagio yet, so I can't compare it to that). I like it better than the one at Mandalay Bay which everyone raves about.<BR><BR>Ceasar's also has some excellent restaurants, both in the Forum Shops and in the hotel itself. In fact, one of my favorite restaurants is Nero's, which is off the casino. I definitely recommend that you try it. Also, Terrazza is a very good Italian restaurant. They also have a very good Chinese restaurant- Empress Court.<BR><BR>One caution is that they are still undergoing construction of Celene Dion's new theatre so a part of the casino is walled off - at least it was in April of this year.

Marie,<BR>I just spent the weekend at Caesar's, and it was fantastic. The pool area is beautiful; they are generous with towels; we were upgraded to the Palace Tower just for the asking: my husband won $2800. We can't wait to return. By the way, our rooms were $89 a night. Caesar's rocks!

Donna,<BR>You just asked for a Palace Tower room and they gave it to you? Is it that easy?

If you look like Donna it is.<BR>Do you look like Donna, Marie...or any of the other Osmonds?

Two words: "European Pool"

Marie,<BR>I asked for a room in the new section, and the receptionist replied "no." Then she said she did have something in the Palace Tower, but it was smoking. She said we could have it, so we took it. I am a non-smoker, but there's so much smoke in Vegas anyway I figured what's the difference. The room really didn't smell like smoke, but as I said, who could tell the difference in Vegas.

I've never stayed at Ceasars, and don't think I'd ever even consider the place after ambling through the casino. The place seemed so....tacky. Sort of like some fancy Italian restaurant in Toledo or something. It's in desparate need of an updating IMO.

Caesars pool area feels very European feel with its clothing optional rules.<BR>

I'm pretty sure there are no clothing optional public pools in LV.<BR>Topless sections exist.<BR>No nudity allowed, though.
