Casual Sun. Breakfast in NYC?
Any ideas for a casual breakfast in NYC on Sunday morning?
|
What part of NYC?
|
Bubby's, Sarabeth's, or Isabella's...however, they are popular and do get crowded.
|
Staying near Grand Central. But open to anything.

Hello - I'll be in the area too and I'm also interested in some breakfast ideas. Merilee your suggestions were great (always are!) but can you recommend some places that are NOT as popular, or as over-run with "us tourists"? Thanks!

Cafe at St. Bart's is a good choice if weather is good - nice big open patio on Park Ave by corner of 49th or 50th. Service a bit slow but food is said to be good and is reasonably priced ($18 for complete brunch but I just had juice, muffin and a latte off the menu).

How early are you taking about? Before 11 Am, you may have very few choices other than diners or fast food. Many places do only brunch on Sundays, which on NYC terms is actually pretty late (11 <BR>am at the very earliest, busiest from 1 or 2 or later)

When we're in New York we always have breakfast at Sarabeth's. If you get there before 9:30 there's usually not much of a wait. My other favorite(we go on Saturdays but they're open Sundays I think) is Kitchenette in Tribeca. It's tiny and casual.
