Casual Midtown NY restaurant/bar
 

Hi everyone - tomorrow my coworker and I are headed to NY for 2 nights. We should get to our hotel around 9 pm and would like to grab a light dinner/drink in a fun atmosphere. We're staying at the Palace at Madison/50th, and the only thing nearby I can picture is the lobby lounge at the W. Does anyone have any better ideas? We're headed downtown Thursday to Aquagrill, but Wednesday would like to stay near the hotel. Thanks for any suggestions!

Instead of heading east to Lexington, I'd head west and go to

>Morrell's wine bar at Rock. Ctr.
>the London Bar at the London Hotel (Gordon Ramsay)
>Bice

Thanks for the ideas! Unfortunately, AA canceled our original flight, so we won't be arriving at LGA until 10:40 pm, so there will be no time for fun this evening. Wish me luck getting there!

Another choice might be the Ginger Man on 36th b/t 5th and Madison.
