Castaway Restaurant? Restaurants with a view?

Has anyone eaten at the Castaway Restaurant just in LA/ just outside LA? Or even heard anything about it? It's supposedly at the top of a hill - where you park and are transported up. I've heard the view is awesome, but I'm wondering about what the food is like... I will be in LA the end of March and would like to make reservations at a restaurant with a view...and with good food. I'm not on a budget, but don't want to pay an exhorbitant amount either. Any information or suggestions for someplace to go?

The Castaway in Burbank, great view of the smoggy basin, food is bleh, unless things have changed recently.

How about Japanese? Yamashiro in Hollywood has a good view and good food. Or maybe L.A. Prime at the Bonaventure? I've not been (not a carnivore), I have fond memories of Top of Five back in the day.

Make your way to The Restaurant at the Getty around sundown. You will not be disappointed!

I second The Getty. It's where you park, and ride up to the Museum and restaurant. I've only had lunch there, and it was excellent.

The Castaway (Burbank) -- the parking lot is near the restaurant - above the golf course. So, I'm sure it's the Getty, that you are inquiring.
