Cassadaga, FL

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has gone to Cassadaga, Florida. The little town known for psychics and spiritual healers. I am planning a day trip to check it out and wanted to know if anyone had been there and recommends anyone in particular to see.
Thanks

I've always wanted to go there. We had a psychic in the family that moved there. After trying to live normally for years with people that were very uneasy around him, he left and seemed to have found a community where he fit in.

He didn't seem to be able to tell the difference between what he had been verbally told and what he "sensed" about people, and would say very upsetting things. As you can imagine, his social life was nil.

I have an acquaintance who goes there once or twice a year. I'll try to find out the name of the psychic she sees.

I've driven through Cassadaga many times years past when I had a friend who lived in Orange City. The psychics all have little name plates outside their homes so you'll know which houses are theirs.

How a whole group of psychics ended up in one town is beyond my understanding. It must be...well, psychic!

I have gone there several times and it is nice. I stayed at a B&B also which was lovely. They have a hotel cassadegahotel.com and a gift shop/bookstore and a small market. The rest are individual homes of the psychis. You can read about them right on their respective doorsteps. I found that it is better to make appointments before going, as if you just show up, you may have to wait for them for awhile and it can be expensive and time-consuming. They charge anywhere from $25 to $100 for a reading, depending. I actually had a phone reading with one of them before I went and she was great. Do a "google" on Cassadega and you will find out more about who is there and what it's like. Good luck. It's very peaceful and nice there. I understand that this year they will be having Halloween decoration parties.

My sincerest apologies, that web site for the hotel should read:

cassadagahotel.com. Click on "Psychic Mediums" and find out who is who in this charming little town.

I've been a few times; the most recent was about 5-6 years ago, however.

I'm not into ESP, palm reading, etc. But it's still a neat little old Florida kind of town. It's a great way to experience a "Florida" that no longer exists.

The hotel used to have a restaurant amd you could eat out on a big veranda. Cool.

Love the old trees covered in Spanish moss.

Thanks all for your input. I had already cruised through the cassadaga websites. I was trying to hunt down particular "psychics" to go to. If anyone had a great "reading" with any one in particular that they can remember any names...Thanks again
