Carry-on cables and wires

Are cables, batteries and wires for digital cameras, battery chargers, and wires for electric shavers permitted in carry-on luggage for airline travel? If so, should they be packed in small, clear plastic bags or should I place them in checked-in luggage beforehand. I definitely want to keep my camera and electric shaver with me. Thanks for any advice.

I've never had a problem carrying on personal device rechargers, and no one ever removed them for inspection either.

My son (like many teens and young adults) carry a large quantity of electronic stuff. He is pulled out of line more often for hand inspection of carry-on than average - I am sure his age also contributes to that. But all are allowed.

Same here - on a recent overseas trip I had in my carryon a digital camera, battery and charger; iPod and charger; laptop and power cord; two cell phones and chargers; and a video camera with various batteries, chargers and cables. No problems whatsoever, other than my sore shoulders from lugging all that around! (Yes, there were good reasons for all of it. :) )
