Any word of advice for those of you who have stayed at the beach houses in this little town? I'm going with some friends for labor day.

Might have better luck if you spelled the name of the town correctly.

All of the towns on the outer banks are great. Beautiful beaches and tons of water related activites available to do. Corolla is by far, the most expensive town on the outer banks. The houses are enormous and the town is as upscale as a beach area can be.

Carry along a ton of patience. Getting onto the road that leads up to the northern part of OBX will be an exercise in patience. But once you get past Duck, you should move along smoothly to the prettiest area around. Far nicer than Duck.

Thank you for my spelling lesson and good advice. I've heard that the drive on the island can be tense.

We usually prefer to get past that intersection as early as possible. Long before check-in at the house. If nothing else, we find the house and hit the beach there.
