Carney's vs. Clarks - NYC

Any info on these two establishments? Any info is always appreciated by the "fodorites".

"Clarks" as in P.J.?

Good burgers, old school atmosphere.

Referring to P. J. Clarks at E. 55th and 3rd Ave. Thanx for the info.

It's been there forever and has a loyal following. It can get crowded during happy hour and dinner.

The upstairs at PJ Clarke's functions as a separate restaurant with a private club feel and is very nice --reservations are a must. It uses the name Sidecar. But if you're looking for a casual burger, stay downstairs.

Meanwhile, what is Carney's? Do you mean Carne on the upper West side?

Thanx everyone.......off to the Big Apple. Think we packed way too many clothes, but they say to be prepared - well, that we are. Even brought larger size clothes just in case we decide to eat and drink our way through NY (hope no additional pounds, but.....) !
Happy Holidays to all....
