Carnegie Hall

I noticed on a New York tourism web site that Carnegie Hall doesn't have tours of the facility in the summer months? Is that true? We will be there August 4-10 this summer for our first trip to New York City and was interested in the tour.

Hi,
Carnegie Hall has tours for individuals during the concert season. You can call them at 212 903-9765 to find out if there are tours during the days that you will be in New York.

If not, have you done a backstage tour at the Lincoln Center? Pretty extensive and well worthwhile.

If for any reason you can't get the Carnegie tour, thought you might want to know that Radio City Music Hall also has a backstage tour, it's $17 for adult admission; $14 for senior citizens: $10 for children under 12, right now the hours are: Monday - Sunday: 11am-3pm, so I would imagine there would be more tours in the summer months. You can order tickets by phone if you want to, the number is 212-307-7171.
If you can't do Carnegie Hall, you might also want to try Radio City or Lincoln Center. All the tours are worth it.
