CARMEL-TICKLE PINK INN VS. PARK HYATT'S HIGHLAND INNH

From what I can tell in the travel books these two hotels are located near each other, right outside of Carmel. Is one preferrable over the other or are they pretty much the same? Is this a good location to stay or would it be better to stay in town?

Ginny- I stayed at the Tickle Pink in Feb. of this year and loved it so much I booked for Jan. 2003 for our anniver. They are different properties in the sense that one is small and contained but you have much privacy and excellent service. The other is spread out and is a much larger property. The beauty is that you can walk from one to the other for the lounge and restaurant etc. if you like small intimate hotels as I do. That would be the TPI. The location is great for the scenery and view of the Pacific. It puts you just outside Carmel- but a quick drive into town.
