Carmel/Monterey Internet Cafes

Help! We will need to find a place to print boarding passes for our Southwest flight home in the middle of the day and will be in the Carmel/Monterey area. We are not traveling with a computer and will be on the road and some distance from our hotel at that point. Google only showed one internet cafe in Monterey, and it is closed on Mondays which is when we will need it. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Can't you print out your passes prior to the day you leave?

Do you need to print them or just check in? You can check in 24 hours before departure time and you can actually print the passes at the airport (or at least most airports that I know of). They have kiosks in the terminals that allow you to print the pass if you have already checked in online. Hope that helps.

I don't know about cafes (there are some fodorites in the area who may help you)

But most libraries have internet access and your hotel may have access. Also, Kinko's has internet/printing access. There are Kinko's in Monterey and Seaside.

As seashell says - you really only need to check in on line. You can print out the boarding pass at the airport.

(Wellvis: No they can't check in/print their BP's before leaving home since it can only done w/i 24 hours of the flight time)

Thanks. I do need to get access to a computer so will try Kinko's as we will not be in the area of our hotel at the 24 hr before time.

There's a Kinkos on Lighthouse in Monterey. UPS Mailboxes Etc. at the Del Monte Shopping Center provides this service, too.

For those of you who are not familiar with Southwest Airlines boarding procedures you can check in and get a seating priority number 24 hours before the flight. (Southwest does not assign seats.)

We are usually able to get early in the A group, which boards first, if we check in online within the first half hour of that deadline.

I have not tried checking in on line and then waiting until we get to the airport to print the boarding pass. Would rather have it in my hot little hand.

There is a very nice library in Pacific Grove where you should be able to check in online. It is near the main part of town: 550 Central Ave and they are open from 1 - 5 pm on Mondays. http://www.pacificgrove.lib.ca.us/index.html

You then simply need to get your boarding passes at airport. You can get them at: kiosk, curbside checkin or regular checkin when you check in your bags. IF you are not checking in bags, you can still get your boarding passes.

We do this frequently for our return flights. Have never had a problem when it is time to print passes at airport {that is, I have never gotten a different letter/number than I got when checking in online.}

Also, in many airports {if not all}, Southwest has a numbering system within the letters. This helps for orderly boarding as you board by letter and numbered position.
