Carmel lodging

Do you know of budget (around $100), yet charming, lodging in or near Carmel? Also, can you recommend a favorite restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner?

i'd try monterey for cheaper hotels---there are lots of good restaurants in carmel--i'd vote for the highlands inn

Try the Otter Inn in Monterey. Very close to Cannery Row and the Aquarium.

Check out the Pacific Grove web site. Lots of great small inns and hotels there and great water front locations. Very close to both Carmel and Monterey. Best town on the peninsula and few people know about it.

Fandango's in PG is outstanding for dinner. Roy's at Spanish Bay resort also good. Cannot testify as to what they do on Thanksgiving.

PG website is pacificgrove.org, I believe. It has a good hotel listing.

Stayed at Lobos Lodge in Sept. It was wonderful. King bed, fireplace and sitting area. Price $135 included coffee and muffins each morning. Great location and the people who work there are very helpful
