One other option is Quail Lodge, out in Carmel Valley.

We recently stayed at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. It was wonderful. The spa is up on the very top floor with beautiful views.

We paid a little extra to use the facilities and the bromine jacuzzi was so nice. I just loved it. There is even an outdoor fireplace to sit by. I would definitely check it out!

If you are looking for the best overall experience including the best service, then Bernardus Lodge is a must!
You will not be dissapointed...

Just stayed at MOnterey PLaza Rsort last weekend and thought it was very nice. We did not use the spa facilities, however, it was 15 dolars a day for the use of exercise equip, hot tubs, etc. Of course extra for the pampering, etc.
