Carlson Wagonlit?
Anybody ever hear of Carlson Wagonlit Travel? Are they any good for booking personal travel? I never heard of them until a friend recommended them for booking my travel.
Hi Chris, I used to work for an airline in reservations. I dealt a lot with agents from Carlson Wagonlit. They are reputible and also large. I believe they are a German owned firm if I am not mistaken. Anyway I would feel confident booking with them. Good luck.

I have used them a few times. They also do all the travel work for our company which has 100,000+ employees and they do a pretty good job.
Duane

They are the world's largest travel agency.

Not all Carlson Wagonlit Travel agencies are owned by the same entity. Some of them are franchises. They are one of the largest consortiums of agencies in the country. They are typically professional and have a great reputation. Having said that, I'm sure that there are some stinkers in there with them. But in order to be a part of the Carlson family (whether franchised or wholly owned) they have to meet certain criteria. I would feel perfectly safe booking with them.

I believe that this must be a Swedish owned firm as this is my last name. (Carlson) FYI, any name ending in son is usually Swedish and any name ending in sen is usually from Norway. This is of course, from any of the scandinavian countries.

We use them for all company travel and find them to be very professional. I've also used them for personal travel with great results, no problems.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel is part of The Carlson Companies - among the largest private corporations in the U.S. They got their start with Gold Stamps and are now mostly a hospitality and travel corp.(T.G.I. Fridays, Radisson hotels, Country Inns and Suites + more.)
