Carlsbad; A good place to live?

Thinking of moving to Carlsbad from the midwest. How is quality of life there? Housings costs high? Are there good job opportunities there? Education standards above par?

Which Carlsbad? There's one in New Mexico, Texas and California.

For the California one, housing costs are high, education is good and how do you want to define "quality of life"?

if you go to carlsbad in CA, you can always try to work at legoland

Carlsbad has high housing costs and limited employment opportunities nearby. Examples of the big employers are Calloway Golf, the Gemological Institute, and Legoland. A lot of people who live in Carlsbad work in San Diego, a 30-mile commute, or Orange County, even further.
