Caribe Royale Orlando?

Has anyone stayed at this resort in Orlando recently? Any thoughts which you could give us would be most helpful.
(I hear that, by next month, the one-bedroom suites will have been upgraded, and I also hear that the pools are really nice.)
Thanks for your input!

I have not actually stayed there, but a good friend rented a suite for her "bachelorette weekend." The pool areas were very nice, as was the suite itself. We are all Central Floridians and most of us work or have worked at luxury-class Orlando hotels. I would not hesitate to book there myself, enjoy.

I, too, went to a party there while a Central Floridian, and was impressed with the management and the pools. There is a separate area with two bedroom "villas" that are lovely, but they don't have access to the large pools without a walk. I would recommend the deluxe suite over the standard for the extra room.

Was there last week.
The suites have been upgraded. The deluxe suites are very nice and includes a jacuzzi tub.
The villas have not been upgraded, but still are quite nice.
Overall, a nice property.

Just got back from one night at Caribe Royale. That was all we could take. Moved to the Swan for the other nights. The pool is not nice, the rooms are very outdated and the staff was a bit rude at check in. Don't really know why they call it a resort, but this is NOT a high end hotel. If you are staying for a conference, book somewhere else. My son (7) even said he would rather be traveling in the car than hanging out at this hotel for the day! From the mouths of babes!
