Car transfer service from Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to LGA?
We used Dial 777 last time & we were pleased with their service. However for our upcoming trip, they are charging a waiting fee, if required. Our cruise ship is scheduled to arrive at 7a.m. Of course, we cannot control the arrival time & don't want to pay an extra $45 if we are late. Scheduling pickup time at 8:30am to allow plenty of time to get to LGA. (Trip charge is $47) We will get off of the ship fast, because we are pulling our own luggage off & will be with the first group to disembark.
Any suggestions for reliable companies. I'll call & compare costs & if or not a waiting fee?
Also, if you have had any bad service, please let me know so that I won't use that company!
Thanks, Julie

Thanks, mclaurie. I didn't know they would show up with such short notice. I'll give them a call & see if they think cars will be available when a ship is in port. They did say that I can call & postpone the service if/when it appears we will not disembark in time - but that can be iffy.

Any company will charge for waiting time. You should arrange the pick up in advance but tell them you will call with an exact time as you head off the ship. They will usually have a car there in about 20 minutes or so.
I generally use either Dail 7 or Carmel.

Thanks for your input nytraveler. However, the info on my Dial7 reservation states that there is not a waiting time for airports. Seems a cruise port would be the same, but obviously not. Doesn't matter I guess. I'll do as all have suggested & call as we disembark.

It's not that they don;t charge waiting time at airports - it's that they have so many hundred cars that they always have some at any of the airports. If you want a "meet and greet" service - where they are there ahead of you and waiting at baggage with a sign with your name they will charge extra.
