Car rentals/Jackson Hole Airport
 

Have reserved w/Alamo at Jackson Hole airport. In reading these Forums, noticed a few negative comments re: Alamo. The most alarming was 'there are no cars'. Can anyone recommend a reliable company for airport pick up in Jackson Hole. <BR>Thanks in advance. <BR>Elaine

Elaine, <BR> <BR>We just returned from Jackson Hole. We also rented from Alamo and had no problem whatsoever. We had made reservations weeks ago and the car we had requested was ready and waiting. Jackson Hole is a small airport but they have several car rental companies on location. Our experience with Alamo was fine. Have fun. <BR> <BR> <BR>

Elaine, it you are going at the end of August, note that tourist season is over by then. Jackson/Yellowstone is such a relatively remote part of our country, that everyone is home getting ready for back to school by then. I've been there many times over Labor Day Weekend, and it's quite empty. There can even be frost at night by then, so take a warm sweater and jacket. Have a great time, it's beyond beautiful.

Dayle, <BR>My husband and I are first time visitors to Jackson. Staying eight nights. In addition to wildlife tours, float trips, etc., would you have any suggestions we should not miss seeing. Staying 10 minutes outside Jackson. We do plan on visiting Teton Nat'l Park and one day trip to Yellowstone. We are 'empty nesters' and do not plan to 'structure' this vacation.
