Car Rental W/OUT a credit card

Visiting Jacksonville and need to get to Amelia Island. I am aware that most auto rental companies require a credit card to rent a car. Do any car rental companies not require a credit card? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Thank you for the heads up. I greatly appreciate it as I looked last evening and couln not locate the inital question even after clicking my name. Very interesting thread as it deviates greatly from the question posed. BTW, we have a credit card at 5.50 %(HELC) however we are closing on a new construction loan and the account will part of the loan so the credit card is unavailble until the new loan is closed on the new construction. Thus we find ourselves on a vacation w/c access to a credit card for this vacation. Thanks again!

My apologies if I sounded harsh. I just figured that after posting here for over two years he/she would have been able to find the original post. Again, my apologies.
