Car Rental/Las Vegas
We are visiting LV staying at the Bellagio, should we rent a car for a day to see the sites around Las Vegas. How much would a car rental for a day be?
|
we honeymoonedin vegas in june. we did rent a car, we reserved an escort for $22 a day, but when we got there, no escort. they allowed us to upgrade to a mustang convertible for $32 a day. it was great and well worth it. although the casinos are next to each other, they are so big...plan to do alot of walking. all of the casinos have FREE valet parking. others i talked to said notto rent a car, but i am glad that we did.

Go to travelocity.com's car rental area.
Plug in your dates.
You'll get dozens of car company rates.

Hi Michelle, What company did you rent the Mustang from? $32.00 sounds great for a Mustang.

Dollar and Budget have locations on the strip, and I think Avis is at Bally's right across from the Bellagio. Check around for the best rate. You'll get a better rate calling the 800 numbers in advance than you will by walking up to the counter at the hotel. Car reservations are not pre-paid or guaranteed so if you decide not to rent a car you will be under no obligation to do so.

800 800 4000
800 BUDGET 7
800 331 1212

It's nice to have a car for a day or two especially if it's wicked hot. Stay clear of those "no-name" car places on the strip and stick with a well known company. Shop around and make sure you include all the taxes and fees when you compare rates. I think you'll get the best rates at the airport and it might be cheaper to get one there for your whole stay if you can park it for free.
I'm renting a Kia from Enterprise next week for $18 a day. I know it's a roller skate but there's only 2 of us.
We rented a car via Priceline. My advice is to start low on the price. We reserved a midsize car in April. I bid $22 a day and it was immediately accepted. When we picked up the car, they upgraded us to a Grand Marquis for free.

We used the car to go to the Grand Canyon, etc. so we didn't drive much in Vegas, but it was my impression that parking is scarce on The Strip.

Mike Honeycutt
