Car Rental "Drive Back" Programs

Hi there! I read recently that car rental companies offer SUPER discounted rates for one way car rentals when they are looking to get cars either back to their original locations, or to stock up heavy hit locations. Of course for the life of me I can't find the article again. Is anyone familiar with the program??

Thanks!

Most of the national companies do this to shift inventory for the seasons, especially to and from Florida, it seems. You can find the information on each company's website under special deals at the relevant times. A couple of weeks ago I was booking a car with Avis and I noticed they had the usual end of winter one-ways plus a number of city pairs listed.
