Car rental discounts in LA - any ideas?
 

I need to rent a car for 3 weekdays in LA ... anyone know any discounts or online links to get a discount?

Which is the cheapest rental company at LAX?

I always use bnm.com for rental-car rate comparisons. Quick and relatively-easy.

I've also used smarterliving.com They seem to have low prices. The last time I rented a car at LAX (from Avis) not only were their prices lower, after I had rented, they emailed me a $25 off coupon making it an even better deal.

I usually first start checking prices at Orbitz, travelocity and go from there.

Alamo has had the lowest weekday rates lately...try rate code YQ, or rate code BY with discount member number 224280.

When I'm in L.A. I always rent from Fox Rentacar. It's off airline premises, so you save a lot in taxes, plus the overall rates are inexpensive. (They send shuttle vans to airport for pickup every 10 minutes or so.) They have a website at foxrentacar.com.

I rented a car last week using orbitz. We were in arizona, and got a great rate. For me, they are just the easiest to use (and i have always gotten good rates there)
