car rental

Is Budget car rental right at the Phoenix airport or do you have to take a bus or shuttle to an off site.

Deborah Jan 8th, 2003 09:43 PM

I don't know about Budget, but Hertz you have to take a shuttle. Ask Budget, they'll know.

OliveOyl Jan 9th, 2003 04:36 AM

Deborah, didn't that shuttle just take you somewhere else within the airport grounds? I believe it was Budget we used and it was within the airport with a shuttle transporting you from the car to your specific terminal.

I remember that it wasn't far to go to the car, but I didn't just pick up the car at the terminal and drive off. This was even gold service.

I wonder how many thousands of readers logged onto this question to find out it was about Phoenix, somewhere they know nothing about -- just like me.
Wouldn't it be nice if the poster would have titled it "Car rental in Phoenix" so she wouldn't be wasting so much time from so many readers?

This may sound like a silly little complaint, but many of us could be more helpful in limited time if we didn't have to keep reading dozens and dozens of posts just to find out what they are about. We could skip over the ones we know we couldn't help with. And at the same time, a person who normally wouldn't look at a post about car rental, just might happen to respond if he saw is was about Phoenix, the one place he's familiar with. So we'd all win!

Thanks XXXXX for your helpful advise on being more detail in the heading, you are right and I hope to get more answers by being more detailed orineted
terry Jan 9th, 2003 09:21 AM

in reply to xxx, I don't know what your gripe is, but almost every thread in which you have replied to, involves you berating people or places and never really offering any valuable or useful advice.

There are, perhaps, peope using this site for the first time who don't realise how vague their heading is until it appears on the site. You really should get out a bit more because anyone who hangs around a website ( a travel website at that) just to pour scorn on other peoples opinions and questions is a little sad.

In addition, if some-one wants to look at threads relayed to Phoenix, they can use the filter option, can they not?

If you cannot offer any useful advice, don't bother.

agreeable Jan 9th, 2003 09:28 AM

yeah, what terry said. and some new users think they're posting questions in a state specific forum, so they don't need to be too specific in the title?

nobody has to read/respond to any of these things if they don't want.

Terry, You are right, but stay calm. I think xxx is Nina expressing herself again.
