Hi,<BR><BR>I have just been quoted &pound;460 for a two week one way rental from Alamo. Does anyone think this is fair, or is there cheaper around?

Right, sorry about that, the guy didn't seem to understand, so i have just got more confirmation. My journey will be from Seattle to SF<BR><BR>It is going to be $460.31 for two week hire (thru alamo) + a $300 one way drop off charge. Are they having a bit of a laugh here? Seems alot...<BR><BR>Cheers

i am not sure about that price for those cities. but you can try enterprise and hertz as well. those are also two of the top rental companies. perhaps budget as well.

Hertz also charges $300 surcharge for one-way. Depending on the class of car, sounds like your price is the standard. What class of car is it?

Try Orbitz.com for a quote too. There's are usually the lowest (in my travels anyway) and at least it would give you a comparison.
