Capitol Tours in DC

I called our Representative in NJ to try and book a tour at the Capitol sometime during our visit to DC - April 25-27.
They told me that there are no tours at this time. Period!
Does anyone know differently?

your rep will certainly know better than any of us.

Well, if your representative said there are no tours, then there are no tours.

I agree that your representative would have the latest information.

According to the website for the Architect of the Capital (aoc.gov), tours of the Capital were suspended as of March 21, 2003, until furher notice. Visitors are encouraged to call the Capitol Guide Service recorded information line at 202-225-6827 for the most up-to-date public tour information.

You can still go to the viewing galleries of the House and Senate during times when they are in session. You can get viewing gallery passes from your Senator or represenative. Although not the same as a tour, you will get a glimpse of the buidling going in and out, and will see the chambers, which are a large part of the tour anyway. (The other large part is the Rotunda.)
Your rep is correct---anti-terrorism measures included canceling these tours.
