Capitol Steps - Washington DC

Any opinions/experiences with this show?

I haven't seen them for a couple of years, but my impression is that they are not as good as they once were. I think they've lost their edge. But, as a native Washingtonian, the day-to-day political stuff is everyday news, so it is probably just me being jaded! That said, they are entertaining. Most of the audience, as I recall, were tourists.

We saw them a few years ago when they were touring New England - they are very entertaining, especially if you keep up with the current political scene.

I've only seen them once, but I can't remember ever laughing as much as I did that night.

Just saw they 2 weeks ago. They were great! I would recommend to everyone. By the way, also did Gross National Product's "Son of a Bush". It was not worth the money. Not anywhere near as good as Capitol Steps.

We have seen them every year for many years at their annual visit to Pasadena. They are bitingly hilarious, often racy, and equal opportunity skewerers. They are as good as ever, very topical. If you are at all interested in the current events/political scene, kill to get tickets if you have to, and they tour the country. Some of their funniest stuff is their letter- reversal material. Example, in Bill Clinton's early days they said, "If you want to to be pricked for pesident, you have to be a hor weiro, a sponogamous mouse, and believe in the American lay of wife." "Remember, keep your bowsers truckled." And some even less flattering sayings about Bush and Cheney.

Sounds like we should get tickets; Thanks!

The group is very entertaining no matter what your political opinions are.

One caveat:

It sounds as if the OP understands this is politicial/current affairs satire. The last time they were in NYC I saw them and the people behind us HATED them. They thought they were going to a musical, had little knowledge or interest in politics or current affairs - and just didn't get most of the show.
