CapeCod Bike Trails

Any info on the types of bike trails around the cape is helpful. Particularly, I'd like to know what the levels of difficulty are, the amount of bike traffic on weekdays, distances, etc. Thanks.

You need to be more specific. Cape Cod is a big place with many bike trails of all distances. I'm not aware of any challenging trails. Cape Cod is relatively flat. Bike traffic is never that bad except possibly on Martha's Vineyard.

Tom's right. However, the bike trails in the Cape Cod National Seashore are quite wonderful (begin in Eastham).

Steve,
There is lots of great biking on trails on the cape.
The Cape Cod Raid Trail is a 25 mile trial from route 134 in Dennis to Wellfleet. It's a paved trail with lots of traffic, some are families with children. More traffic on week ends but still used alot in the summer on all days. It's all completely flat and goes by cranberry bogs, state parks, little villages etc. You can get off the trail at numerous places for refreshments, shopping, or just exploring. For beaches you can go into the National Seashore in Eastham and go on the bike trails there to visit Coast Guard Beach. Nice beach usually with waves. You can also exit the trail at Nickerson State Park in Brewster and go on the bike trails through that park where we have seen deer.

At the tip of the cape in Provincetown there are a group of paved trails that go through the dunes. Not alot of bike traffic on these and they are alot of fun. These trails have winding curves with short hills and neat downhills, they are my favorites.

Enjoy,
Sandra

"Cape Cod, An Explorer's Guide" lists most, if not all, of them. There's a fabulous one (flat all the way) heading out of Falmouth along the ocean called The Shining Sea Bike Path. Glorious views.
