Cape May - The mooring

We will be staying at the Mooring for a long weekend in September. HAs anyone stayed there that can provide some feedback?

Also, we will be arriving late on Friday night, say 10 p.m., Can anyone recommend a place we could unwind after a long drive and have a drink and perhaps a light meal?

Thank you.

We've never stayed at the Mooring, so I'm not familiar with that, but we've been to Cape May in Sept. and everything quiets down at night and a lot of places are closed earlier, than during the summer. We have been to the Lobster House which is located on your left, right after you cross the bridge entering Cape May which is a really popular restaurant with good food and we've been there at night, but I don't ever think that late, but they have a nice bar, so it might be worth your while to check on their hours.

I haven't stayed at the Mooring, can't help you there, sorry! For drinks and food, head over to the Washington St. Mall. You should be able to get a bite at either the Ugly Mug (on the mall), or the Pilot House (directly behind the Mug). The C-View (closer to the bridge) has good food, and I think they serve late. On the beach, you might try the Rusty Nail. But, you may want check the phone book and call ahead to wherever you choose to ask what time their kitchen closes. enjoy! :)
